Quantum Days 2026 in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, brought together more than 400 members of Canada’s quantum community for three days of discussion, learning, and connection on Canada’s quantum coast. Each year, the event continues to grow, and it is incredibly encouraging to see researchers, industry, students, investors, policymakers, and international partners coming together around a shared commitment to advancing quantum in Canada.
What struck me most this year was the excitement and sense of momentum across the community. Canada continues to lead in quantum science and technology, and the conversations throughout the event reflected a shared focus on turning that leadership into real-world impact.
The program included three days of talks, a busy exhibitor floor, 75 research posters, and new additions this year including a startup zone and career fair. It was great to see the full ecosystem represented, from leading researchers to companies and investors bringing technologies to market, alongside the students and talent who will shape the future of the field.
We were also thrilled to welcome international participants from Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Japan, the United States, Finland, and Poland. The global engagement this year was a powerful reminder that Canada’s quantum community is not only strong at home but also deeply connected to the international ecosystem.
Un merci tout spécial à nos collègues de Sherbrooke, qui étaient présents à Victoria avec beaucoup d’énergie et d’enthousiasme. Nous sommes très heureux de poursuivre la conversation à Sherbrooke pour Quantum Days 2027.
Thank you to our partners, sponsors, program leadership, speakers, and organizing committees who made Quantum Days 2026 possible. I left Victoria feeling very optimistic about where quantum in Canada is heading, and I look forward to seeing everyone next year in Sherbrooke.
Deep Tech Canada is proud to convene this growing community and support the collaboration that helps move ideas from research to real-world applications.
