NanoCanada’s ongoing efforts to promote Canadian businesses and organizations on the international scene were fruitful during its recent trade missions in Korea and Japan.
Memorandum of Understanding agreements were signed with three organizations in Korea and Japan. These agreements are the culmination of four years of sustained efforts and relationship building with international partners.
The first agreement was with Gangwon Technopark located in the province of Gangwon, South Korea. Gangwon Technopark and NanoCanada have worked closely together since 2017 to help both the Republic of Korea and Canada grow together in the nanotechnology and advanced materials sector.
The second agreement was with the Nanotechnology Business Creation Initiative (NBCI) in Tokyo. NBCI is an industry-driven organization that aims to advance commercialization of nanotechnology and collaboration between industrial sectors.
The third agreement was with NanoMalaysia, an organization that works toward the commercialization of nanotechnology research and development.
“These agreements are another step forward in building relationships and opening new opportunities with our partners in Asia. We are delighted that we can showcase the innovative spirit of our Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs), and the creativity of our researchers,” said Dr. Marie D’Iorio, President of NanoCanada.
