Wednesday, January 15, 2020

NanoCanada is delighted to now be providing the secretariat to an international joint working group on nanotechnology terminology and nomenclature (ISO/TC 229 and IEC TC/113). NanoCanada’s Director of Business Development, Janice Warkentin, recently returned from Hangzhou, China, and spent the week in meetings with over 120 experts from across the globe working on standards for nanotechnology, including terminology, characterization, safety, and the environment.

ISO is an independent, non-governmental, international organization with a membership of 164 national standards bodies. Through its members, ISO brings together experts to share knowledge and develop voluntary, consensus-based, market-relevant international standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges.
