Carbonova is a technology company developing a breakthrough catalytic process that transforms greenhouse gases—CO₂ and methane—into high-value carbon nanofibers (CNF). These advanced materials offer exceptional strength, conductivity, and thermal stability, making them ideal additives for composites, plastics, batteries, and construction materials.
Powered by an innovative catalyst and reactor design, Carbonova’s exothermic process uses nearly two orders of magnitude less energy than conventional methods. It is modular, scalable, and flexible, utilizing CO₂, natural gas, biogas, or landfill gas. The company has scaled its technology to pilot operations in Calgary, Alberta and is advancing its first commercial demonstration unit to produce 25 tonnes of CNF annually from CO₂ captured at a natural gas power plant.
Through Build-Own-Operate and Licensing models, Carbonova delivers both climate impact and economic value, working with global partners in polymers, packaging, automotive, and batteries.
