Deep Tech Canada is organizing a Trade Mission to Barcelona from November 2-5, 2026, centered around participation in Smart City Expo World Congress and the co-located Barcelona Deep Tech Summit.

This mission supports Canadian companies developing advanced technologies for smart and sustainable cities, including AI, mobility, energy, infrastructure, and urban systems, as well as deep tech ventures emerging from research and commercialization.  

Participants will engage with global city leaders, corporates, investors, and research institutions, positioning themselves within Europe’s rapidly evolving urban innovation ecosystem.

The Display Exhibitor registration category is designed for organizations looking to showcase their products or services during the mission. Exhibitors will have a prominent display space* to present their offerings, interact with potential clients, and network with other participants. This category is ideal for those seeking to actively engage in marketing and promotion. 

The exhibitor will receive every item listed under the delegate registration, plus: 

The organization will have its own personal display space at the Canadian pavilion. This includes the organization’s logo well as your own table with 2 stools.

TRAVEL AND RELATED COSTS

The participant is responsible for booking their own airfare, accommodations, local transportation, insurance, and all other expenses while on the mission. The entrance fee to the exhibition is included in the cost of registration.

TRAVEL SUPPORT VIA CANEXPORT (limited availability)

Through funding provided by the CanExport Associations program, Deep Tech Canada can offer travel support covering up to 50% of eligible expenses to a maximum of $2,450.00 for a limited number of selected companies.

Travel support is intended primarily for eligible export-ready Canadian SMEs and is subject to CanExport Associations program requirements.

Selection is competitive and based on eligibility and program fit

This funding supports Deep Tech Canada's international business development activities and helps reduce participation costs for eligible Canadian companies seeking to expand into international markets.
