Deep Tech Canada

History

2012-2018

We worked with federal and provincial partners to build an integrated nanotech ecosystem across Canada under the NanoCanada banner.

2018

Created NanoCanada as a not-for-profit entity, launched membership opportunities, and added advanced materials to reflect Canadian strengths.

2019

Brought members to the world through global export and trade missions. Signed four MOU’s with international organizations to continue building strong relationships between Canada and our global partners.

2020

2020 brought us home and provided plenty of time for planning Quantum Days and our international conference. It also provided the opportunity to meet new partners and collaborators virtually.

2021

This was a year of growth and big dreams. We were funded by the Next Generation Manufacturing supercluster to build Nanomedicine Canada and our online matchmaking tool, the Deep Tech Network. These activities along with planning our international conferences expanded our reach well past nanotech and advanced materials.

2022

NanoCanada evolves into Deep Tech Canada. An innovative approach using technologies emerging from science and engineering to solve global issues, create new markets, and disrupt existing technologies. DeepTech cuts across industrial sectors and emerging technologies with opportunities for collisions, disruptions, and tech integration.
